Tulagan Tojikhodjaev was born in January 28th, 1952 in Tashkent. He graduated from the Tashkent Theater and Art Institute (1970-1975). Between 1976 and 1983, he was engaged in teaching at the institute and educated many students. Between 1986 and 1993, he worked as a freelance writer. From 1993 to 1997 he was the chairman of the sculpture department of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan. From 1997 to 2005, he worked as an academic secretary at the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan. He is a freelance writer from 2000 to 2005, a member of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan. Since 2005 he has been working as the chairman of the sculpture department of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan. In 1997 he was awarded the silver medal of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan. In 2000 he was awarded the “Ofarin” prize. In 2008 he was awarded the Shukhrat Medal. Participant of international exhibitions and symposiums in Uzbekistan, Russia, Sweden, Israel, France, Canada and Turkey.
